When do You Think Secondary Riders Should Debut?

Too bad, Decade, W, OOO & Fourze, could've had more riders.

Decade: Diend appeared in Faiz's world, but his existence in controlling all riders from different worlds doesn't seem to fit. Its good for him to exist in Faiz's world in his first debut. If there was a 3rd rider, it should seriously be one who controls secondary riders with extra forms when the heroes go to showa rider worlds.

W: They should've added a dark W. Plus Nazca would've become a second rider. Accel.... can't describe.

OOO: Should've had a dark OOO. I don't know. Birth is fine. One thing.... Gotou should've been Birth in the beginning. And could've had an extra form to upgrade Birth.

Fourze: They should've added an alien rider before Meteor. Someone like Chalice who could sense zodiarts.

Decade DCD

Should of had Yusuke become a Kamen Rider for every world they went to. World of Agito & Den-O had the right idea.

Natsumi being Rod, Ax, and Gun Form...was just...:sly:

Diend...I didn't like him as G3-X cause he was already established as a series core rider.

Double W

I would agree...Kirihiko could of made a good rider.

Yes it was frightening to many seeing Akiko henshin into Double...but I could see her being Skull as she inherits her father's will.

Philip...what if he was able to use the Fang Memory using the Lost Driver.

OOO

I could see a Dark OOO...which would be revealed to be the original OOO.

Birth Day could've been its own rider...with either Date, Gotou, or Satonaka using it. Actually, there should've been a Birth Corps...but alas it was established that Maki didn't make enough weaponry. Then again, I could've seen Birth as a mass production project.

Fourze

The members of the Rider Club could represent their respective riders better...

Yuki using a cassette arm

Miu doing a parody of 26 Secrets

JK using a ridol type weapon

Tomoko befriending non-zodiart Kaijin...like mole monsters or something

If the show has multiple Riders, it's better for the secondary Rider to be introduced quite early - like Knight, Kagami, or maybe Ankh/Fourze's Kengo if they'd been Riders. But for the current crop of shows that have only two Riders, I think episode 18-20 is fine, to allow the first arc to establish the main hero; like Sixth Rangers in Sentai

Here's what I should think of multiple riders....

Kiva:
- There should be more riders in darkstalkers style
- IXA is okay to go early
- Before Saga, there should be another monster rider with spirits (zombies, Tsukumogami, ghosts/reaper)
- There should be a female rider also with (a female vampire/succubus, witch, bee)

Decade:
- Yuusuke should become all kinds of new riders in different worlds.
- Every rider from a different world should exist like how Abyss existed.

W:
- Nazca should become a rider after leaving the Museum.
- A Dark W like Phillip but can use half changing memories.

OOO:
- Another core medal rider like OOO and NEW Den-O.

Fourze:
- A zodiarts rider that is like Chalice before Meteor arrives or better yet. Have Meteor appear early before that rider joins the party.

Depends on the setting. Some series can do with an early Secondary Rider. OOO could have done with one for instance.

Fourze had Meteor appear at a timely fasion due to how the show it set up, we had the arc for every member of the Rider Club and how they join. And given the two episode arc nature of Fourze that would take a lot of episodes and then we had the arc finisher in the return of Miura and the end of Scorpio.

So generally it depends on the setting. W could have done with Accel earlier easily.

Plus Kiva could've had more riders than IXA, Saga, Dark Kiva etc. It would've been a Knight character to join Kiva.

^ Speaking of knights, why the heck wasn't there a Knight Fangire among the Checkmates? Why was it the Checkmate Four and not Checkmate Five?

If Saga was really needed, why not make him the Knight instead of another costume for the King? (Granted that would take away the Black Sun/Shadow Moon-style setup they had with Kiva and Saga but that was already wasted. Or maybe they could set up something like Taiga being demoted to Knight after Kiva was passed to Wataru, like a rule that says if there are two heirs to the throne the loser becomes Knight and Taiga would resent Wataru the bastard child for getting what was rightfully his.)

i guess the the reason why the secondary rider appears late in the series is because of the current trend on the merchandise... toei/bandai aggressively markets the main belt with all its attachments first... the secondary rider then appears when the interest for the main accessories lessen... thats when they introduce the somewhat limited yet similar belt for the other rider... then the trend continues to the mid-season upgrade until the ultimate form...

Don't turn this into a fan-made rider idea thread...Just don't.

I say the mid-teens, around the point where the status-quo of the show is set up.

I kinda like the way Kabuto did it where they introduce the "secondary" Rider in Kagami and have him get his powers later in the show. It puts a new twist on things when its usually the secondary Rider being introduced along with his powers. Kinda like how Kiva did it with Nago and IXA.

Ryuki NEEDED Knight from the get go, because of the premise of the show. A new player to accidentally stumble in the Mirror World/Rider Fight business needed someone to explain to him (and the audience) what the rules were, and who better than one of the other riders in the show? There's 13 of them, after all.

I think it'd have been interesting to have seen Ryuki as the only Rider for at least 5 episodes. He'd have no idea about what to do and would just try to play hero and kill monsters to save people - then they finally could have introduced Knight and the Rider battle after Shinji started thinking he knew what he was doing and everything was under control, making it all a big twist.

Part of me has always wondered if maybe Knight was pitched to be the show's actual main character, and Shinji was added in because execs wanted to have a protagonist who was more in the vein of Godai and Shouichi. I say this because I'm reasonably certain you could adequately summarize the plot of Ryuki, in terms of major story events, without even mentioning Shinji at all. Every major plot beat usually goes back to Knight, Zolda, or Ohja.
