When do you go to bed?

Since I only have class twice a week, my schedule is all over the place. Especially lately, I have no real sleep pattern, in the last few days I've gone to sleep at 3 AM, woken up at 1 PM, 6 AM, woken up at 5 PM, 12 AM, woken up at 7 AM. I really need to work on this. >_O

Usually 12 am, still a student.

If god forbids that I do sleep in the afternoon after classes, then 1 am or so. I really hate sleeping in the afternoons though, screws up my entire sleeping routine.

I go to sleep at 1100hrs or 1200hrs. I wake up at 2000hrs & work from 2200 - 0630.

Then I come home get changed let the dog out & am off to the gym by no later than 0800hrs

Not to sound mean, but you're 26 and you're living at home. If you don't like it, leave. Don't have enough money? Get a 2nd job (If you're 26 and you don't have at least a full time job and you're not disabled, there's something wrong, work IS out there)

Again not trying to sound mean, but on average most people just want to complain about their problems to anyone willing to listen, but won't actually do anything to help themselves get out of the situation.

Anyway, back on topic: On the weekdays I go to bed at 10pm, get up at 6am for 10hr shifts every week. On the weekends I generally stay up till 2-3am doing nothing but goofing around on the internet.

Also, to help with your 1am-7am internet problem here are a few possible work arounds:

-Try changing the clock on the computer to trick the program preventing the internet from being used. This isn't fool proof, but it can fool alot of time restricted programs into running provided they themselves aren't using internet time.

-If he has wireless internet, may I suggest a cheap laptop/netbook? Or for more secrecy, an iPod touch or Ipad (Easier to hide)

Anyway, good luck.

I wish I could try the fool the clock thing but I think I could only do this on my Dad's computer and if I do that I might get into trouble. He might do something as retarded as ground or ban me from the internet.

And I wish I had an iPod touch, I also quite fancy an iPad too.. maybe I should get one for Christmas.

As for jobs, I only work on Thursdays, Firdays and Saturdays because I don't have my overtime which is on Monday. The bosses at the supermarket where I work told me I won't be getting my overtime back til near Christmas mwhich really pissed me off, and as far as disabilities go I only have pragmatic language disorder which is part of the autistic spectrum, but overall that's it. I might talk to my supporter about getting a second job.

But overall it's gonna be a pretty long wait til I finally move out because my mum told me I can never afford it. I only get £40 a week. My parents are planning on moving to Wales, and I have to come with them. I don't know when exactly they're moving to Wales, but mum told me it'll be Christmas before they move to Wales, giving me the impression that it'll be next year, but I don't really know. I was gonna consider sacreficing my fund for my Japan trip to save up for moving out, but I don't think it'll make any difference so I decided not to, so I'm gonna start saving up to move out when we finally move to Wales.

And this may be a bit off topic but I think dad is treating the internet like a scapegoat. If he is what he doesn't realize is that it's then best damn thing that happened to me. It didn't JUST allow me to visit websites about Power Rangers, Video Games, etc.. it basically gave me a whole universe of opportunities. For example: with the internet I made LOADS of friends worldwide. I have lots of friends mostly from Japan, the USA, Canada, Germany, Singapore, and recently Puerto Rico. Before the internet life was boring. It was 1999, and I was sitting lonely in my bedroom listening to shitty music on the radio. I didn't speak to very many friends.

Why...don't you just search for a better job? Are you in school? If not, I would think devoting your internet time to finding a job would be the best idea. I dunno, dude, if you're not making every possible effort to find a job that you can at your age, I would say your parents are well within their rights to limit your computer time. How the heck would you even get an iPad for Christmas? I think your parents would see that's just another way for you to be online when they don't want you to.

Try to find a second job if you can't get more hours at your current one, it seems like you've more or less been in the same situation for as long as you've been a member of HJU. You say you don't want to be treated like a child, but (and I am assuming here, so I might be totally wrong) I get the feeling you could be doing more to look for another job and perhaps help around the house. It's cool to be a certain age and say you're an adult, but if you aren't doing a reasonable amount to further your own life or help with bills, eh, I'd say the way your parents treat you isn't too far off from what I'd do. If you're still living with your parents at 26, you're expected to do more around the place and if you don't, them treating you like a child is just what you have to face.
