What's the big deal with Den-O?

Why does everyone love this series and ignore actual GOOD rider series like BLACK, Agito, Kuuga, and dareisay the Double Rider saga? My homeboy JediBmoney tried to explain it's appeal to me but to no avail, I still don't get everyone's obsession with Den-O. To me it's a below-average series that is a blasphemy to Ishinomori's legacy. They do have some good voice talent in there, shame the characters get on my nerves....

It's just silly fun, really. Yes, Toei has gone too far in milking to death, resurrecting it, and milking it back to death, but the series and first couple of movies was just silly fun. The Heisei Rider shows were choking on their self-importance, and Den-O eased up on that a bit.

Maybe you are right, my friend.
Just as Fiveman took sentai in a lighter and softer direction, Den-O is doing the same for KR.

BTW, any new WTF moments coming up?

Oh dear gosh. Another Den-O hate thread. :redface2:

I've had enough with this bullshit.

For one thing, Den-o is extremely comical.
For the second, Ryuu's Imagins, especially Momotaros are now a big hit for Japan's youth all over. In addition the imagin are voiced by well known seiyuu from big anime.

Ex: 1. Deneb: i know you hear Naruto's pervert Jiraiya.
2. Urataros: Of course a load of people favor Bleach's Gin.

This particular rider show has lots of potential for expansion. But thanks to the movies, that hole is closing. Having a secondary chapter that focuses on the den-o of the future's situations and etc.

Better question:

Why do people have to constantly preach their hate for Den-O? No one ever makes a "MAN! Den-O is amazing!" thread.

But for the record, Den-O is amazing.

Same reason why people were hating on Hibiki and just now...after four years...finally decide to watch more than 3 episodes.
