What season of PR was better than Sentai

^I believe Ohranger aired right around the time of the Sarin Gas Subway Attacks in Japan so they had to tone down the show.
That, but not only did they tone it down, but instead of the original intent of being a 20th anniversary series with a dark and mature plot, we got a ton of useless and annoying fillers and whatnot, nothing special as it should've been.
Really difficult for the last one given that WF practically ripped off the entire plot of Gaoranger and just added the relationship between the Red Ranger and Master Org.
That plus the awesomeness of Forever Red and a Time Force vs. Wild Force crossover (something Gaoranger didn't have) that was awesome. Gaoranger was just terrible as a whole while Wild Force, even though not THAT great, had many good things about it.

in space definitley surpassed megaranger in terms of story

i prefer lost galaxy over gingaman

that's about it for now

For me:

Lost Galaxy > Gingaman
Time Force > Timeranger
Wild Force > Gaoranger

And SPD? Heck, Deka is better altough Deka lacked an overarching plot and an idiot-fest.

I heard that Lost Galaxy was better than Gingaman.

Well, Seijuu Sentai Gingaman was a little too sugary, but from what I saw from PRLG, it was pretty much alright in my opinion. It wasn't as good as PRiS, but it worth watching. Thanks to Saban for giving the new Power Rangers their own stories after the Zordon-era.

I started watching Timeranger. Theres a chance Time Force might be better. Except for Naoto/Timefire, all the others are boring. Overall, I'm not liking the Timerangers that much. As for all the others, sentai is better.

I thought PRTF and Mirai Sentai Timeranger were both cool, but Timeranger had a better ending. Of course the ending for Time Force was considered as an adapted version of an alternate ending to Mirai Sentai Timeranger.

The only Power Ranger season that was as better than its Sentai counterpart was Power Rangers in Space. It had everything that we longed for, action, romance, suspense, drama, almost everything.

Now I am having doubts about whether or not Jungle Fury will be as cool as Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger, but it's obvious that it won't. Lucky for me, there's Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.

GaoRanger vs. Super Sentai is better than those two combined, imo. It was epic (something that Forever Red tried to be, and failed) and even had montages. I enjoyed Wild Force quite a bit, but it was mostly a copy of GaoRanger.

Let's see...

MMPR Season 1 > Zyuranger (yuck)

MMPR Season 2 < Dairanger
MMPR Season 3 < Kakuranger
ZEO and Ohranger (I've not seen the whole series of Ohranger)
Turbo and Carranger (I've not seen the whole series of Carranger)
In Space and Megaranger (I've seen the first 4 episodes of Megaranger, hasn't judge yet)
Lost Galaxy and Gingaman (I've not seen the whole series of Gingaman)
Lightspeed Rescue and GoGo V (I've not seen the whole series of GoGo V)
Time Force and Timeranger (I've not seen the whole series of Timeranger)
Wild Force > Gaoranger.

Hurricanger to Magiranger > Disney's Power Rangers Ninja Storm to Mystic Force.

Operation Overdrive and Borekenger were both FAILED!

How so? The only thing I enjoyed about Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai is the return of Banba and Yuusuke. Most of it included reused clips for the sentai poses or mech scenes (crossing out where they all appeared in CGI together), which was kinda lazy to be honest (would've been nice to see them redone even if they reused voice clips if they needed to, and perhaps ACTUAL action with all the red rangers instead of some role call). And then there was the action scenes with all the older sentai teaming up to make some dream team, in which we hardly see them fight much other than for a minute or two (I was especially disappointed with the lack of action in Big One's case, they really should've gave him more spotlight). The montages were cool and all, but the only thing that's good for is for the people who hardly know about the history of past sentai teams. I admit, though, the movie is great for people who want to get into Super Sentai, but other than that it really isn't anything special.

Forever Red had the awesomeness of Tommy Oliver and actual red rangers teaming up to fight a past enemy, full of epic battles both in their regular and ranger forms. It was quick, nice, and completely epic, my favorite PR episode to date.

Likewise. Gao vs. SS basically was like a recap of the Super Sentai History when the Gaorangers met the veteran Sentai Warriors and I was overwhelmed with each of the telling about how the four members play an important role to the team and support their leader, namely the Red Warrior. I just wished it had GaoSilver and another Veteran 6th warrior. It was also a good thing that Tokuplex re-subbed it from that hoity toity piece of **** H-K subbed version. PRWF's Forever Red didn't even explained about how some of the red rangers were get there powers back, and it just seemed to pail for an aniversary PR Team-up. However, Reinforcement from the Future was a pretty cool team-up after, but the ending of part 2 was too sugary for my taste.

Oh and Forever Red, I am currently watching Gaoranger on Veoh, so I am going to decide for myself whether or not Gaoranger is better than Wild Force. But if you said it wasn't, then I can argue with that.

But Gaoranger has the highest ratings of any 21st century sentai show in Japan, which doesn't make sense if it was that bad.

Naruto is popular as sh-t but it's extremely bad, so that holds no merit.

Gaoranger was probably most popular with the kids at the time simply because of the amount of mechs it had (something new to the Super Sentai series at the time), which means more to buy and play with as toys. That, and it was the 25th anniversary series for Super Sentai, so it probably got a lot of hype from that alone.
