What remakes DO you want to see?

Ok, I badmouth sequals, remakes, Americanizations and such. I have insulted the Dragonball Remake, torn the Street Fighter movie a new one where is Van Damm and Minouge cameos are. But I'm tired of it.

I want to hear what king of movies we DO want to see. What remakes are you excited to see? Be they American or otherwise.

To sum up the plot:

Its a one of those Bruce Lee exploitation films but its easily the best one of them all and one of the best ideas ever.

Okay Bruce Lee is in hell and he's fighting tons of pop culture icons, James Bond, Clint Eastwood, Dracula, Zatoichi, some pornstars, The Godfather, the Exorcist, and so on. Along the way he teams up with Caine from Kung Fu, Popeye, and The One Armed Swordsman. Eventually Lee and the gang take on the King of hell. [/HIDE]

The effects were odd and badly timed in my opinon. Bring back Leguizamo and Jai white as spawn.

They need to completely re write that story. It barley had anything to the comic.

They need to open an issue of that

Starship Troopers

Drop everything from the first three films, except for Casper Van Dien, because he's so friggin' crazy, he'd probably VOLUNTEER for the movie.

Revamp all the suits so they are more subtle in color, but heavy in detail. Weaponry and bugs need to be revamped also. The movie should take on a much darker, progressive tone, like Aliens.

The movie should be a 3 hour epic, including both Tophets and Maurader mechs. The guy directing it should have little to no interest with CGI.

Yeah, it'll never happen. The budget will never allow another Starship Troopers movie to ever surface, and Sony pretty much lost all hope for the franchise, but hey, never say never!



Oh yeah, and let's not forget:

Mortal Kombat

Seriously, Ed Boon and his gang spent a long time on the series, and characters now have intricate stories and awesome character designs. I'm sure with a little collaboration with Ed and his writers, Hollywood could cook up a pretty decent Mortal Kombat film that taps both into the told and untold story of the franchise. And with CGI becoming more advanced, things can look less cheesy through extensive post-production work.

Though a "sequel" was planned for how many years now, I think just a revamp with just the classic 8 characters would be nice.
