What PR means to us.

It's sad that people see Kamen Rider as a Power Rangers knock off.

Actually, it seems that people think Toku in general is a PR knock off.

They think that anything featuring people in armored suits fighting villains and other monsters means that it's power rangers :rolleyes2:

No ****? People here in America think Toku is Power Rangers? Stop the fucking presses.

Of course they're gonna think that, it's the only toku we know.

That's like saying Japan dubs Naruto from English. I couldn't tell you how many times I have told people PR was created in Japan and they think it's impossible.

the first mistake is to even bother trying to inform the regular people where PR comes from. Most of my friends know of my Toku and PR love. But I dont begin to bother telling them how Toku and PR are related. They see me watching Dekaranger or Kamen Rider and go "oh so its like power rangers in japan" and I say "yeah pretty much".

Because they're assholes.

That's why you got HJU :castlerock:

If another Toku show, maybe perhaps Dragon Knight, can get passed PR's popularity that it once had. Perhaps Toku shows in general can be seen in a different light here in america, but till then, this type of problem will always exist! And as good as Dragon knight maybe, I can't honestly see that show being as big as PR once had in it's golden days.

What does PR mean to me? nothing really, just a nostolgic show that I once love to watch as a kid. Times change, and this show just isn't the same as it once was...
