What if Super Sentai happened in real life?

if super sentai actually existed, a regular day would be like this...

morning- wake up and go to work

on the way to work- attacked by some sort of foot solider

12 noon- you have become part of the monster of the week's scheme to somehow help it's superiors plan to control/destroy the earth

later- get rescued by people wearing colorful outfits and a fight takes place that defies explanation

as you run away from the action- the monster that captured you is now the size of a skyscraper and is in battle against a multicolor giant robot.

at home- you relive that chaos on the nightly news

the next day- you get fired from work because you did not show up the day before and the boss does not buy the 'monster and super sentai' crap because it is your responsibility to leave early enough to avoid such an incident

so life would most likely suck if super sentai was real.

^ And then you go and sue the Rangers for making you suffer >:D

Or they let you become their Sixth Ranger so you don't take action against them :loltongue:

If that happened then I bet there would be a bunch of sixth rangers  (unless no one ever buys into this offer and sues anyway :D)

:anime: (Random pink Smilie for the team!)

The government would do their best to avoid mass panic, forcing the media to tone down on the subject. People would be scared as hell!
And unless the Sentai team had anything to do with the government, they would be seen as a threat just like the monsters. Good guys or not, they still destroy things around them, which cannot be accepted in the real world.
Imagine if the military started to throw bombs in New York, because a terrorist was hiding there. Would you see them as heroes?

Actually, if you haven't watched it already, you should definitely get your hands on Ultraman Nexus.
It followed the example that I mentioned above, and I actually thought it was very cool to see a more ”realistic” reaction to a toku hero, and that he actually had to gain trust before people stopped seeing him as a villain.

Kuuga also tried to follow this route early on in the show, if I remember correctly.

I think the sentai team (and the people who support them) can probably make billions off their invention as well. C'mon, a henshin device that can transform even a weakling or a kid (as seen in Gokaiger ep 2) into a superhero? And vehicles that can combine into a super robot the size of the tallest skyscaper, featuring technology that is way more advanced than anything we have seen? Instead of fighting monsters, they can all become multi-billionaires and buy an island somewhere to retire to.

If they even like you back.

Oh, Im sure they would.
