What helps unfreeze car locks?

i'm from hawaii..i've never had that problem before >_> and this is the first year i have my car with me on the mainland..so i was worried about stuff like this happening... cuz i really don't know what i would do

^^^ They did. It's called "remote key entry". lol Unfortunately if you lose your keys then you're hosed.

lol well some one needs to make something that you can use to open it manually. Or invent some sort of heating mechanism to prevent this from happening, like you press some sort of button under the hood or something makes something heat the keyslots up.

Actually, if it's cold enough, it's possible that even a remote key entry wouldn't be strong enough to open up a frozen lock mechanism. The little motor for remote key systems isn't really that strong when to seriously take a look at it. If the locking mechanism is solidly frozen, yeah, you can still be screwed.

Aha! Perfect solution, Just pee on it. If you're desperate enough and alone. Pee is warm and doesnt freeze fast.

This happened to me in Germany. use a lighter and heat up the key and keep trying to slide it in the lock and heating it. It will eventually open. Then, spray WD40 in the lock to prevent this from happening again.

Well ****, I forgot all about lighters.


Take the lighter and wave it around and very close to the keyslot. heat key up too.

take da liter, pee on it, then put in da lokc, pee on da lock, shak the kee arownd den pee on all o dem togethur. then pee on it and try again
