What are you favorite Westerns?

I think Clint Eastwood is the greatest man to come out of the Western genre, while John Wayne is a close second. Even though I love John Wayne to death, and dozens of his movies, I sometimes feel he is only so well-known because of the sheer amount of Western flicks he made. . .

Any Clint Eastwood western flick, 3:10 to Yuma(Remake), & Appaloosa.

Also, I really excited for the upcoming remake of True Grit. The Coen Brothers are behind it & it has an awesome cast. Though, Jeff Bridges have big shoes to fill, since he's stepping in an iconic John Wayne role, but I confidently think he'll own it.:buttrock:

Well, it's not only an iconic John Wayne role. But it was his only Academy award-winning, as well. It's probably his most significant role, up with the ranks of his biggest flicks like The Searchers and The Shootist.

I just wish they would've gotten a better actress than this unknown chick to play Kim Darby's character from the original. She was amazing, and I don't know if this girl can uphold that intensity. :disappoin

No John Wayne westerns. No Clint Eastwood Westerns.

Well, I'm very persistent on giving this chick a chance. Sometimes unknowns can be astounding.
