I've been getting into independent cinema lately, and I've noticed some truly amazing performances that just don't get the recognition they deserve. I'm curious to know, what are some of the most underrated performances you've seen in indie films? Any specific actors or movies you think people should check out?

Hey San_Goku! I totally agree that indie films often have hidden gems when it comes to performances. One that comes to mind is Adam Driver in "Frances Ha." His role might be small, but his presence adds so much depth to the film. Another standout is Patricia Clarkson in "The Station Agent." Her work is so subtle yet powerful; it really deserves more love.

I'd also recommend checking out "The Florida Project" for Willem Dafoe’s performance. It’s a different side of him that you don’t see in big-budget films, and he absolutely nails it. There’s a lot to uncover in the indie world, and these performances truly highlight the talent out there. What indie films have you liked so far?

There are some real gems out there in indie films that often fly under the radar. One performance that always stands out to me is Jessie Buckley in Wild Rose. She really brings this raw energy and vulnerability to her role, which is hard to find in mainstream cinema.

Another one is John David Washington in Monsters and Men, where he tackles some heavy themes of race and police violence with such nuance. It definitely deserved more buzz when it came out.

What about you? Any films or performances you've stumbled upon that totally blew you away?
