I've met a surprising amount of people who can't tell the difference between a Chinese person (me) and an Indian or Pakistani person. Last year I had a co-worker give me a card for Diwali instead of Christmas, which was sweet of her, but still :sweat: (Not to mention that not all Indian people are Hindu)

I have seen very few intelligent arguments for this. Cigarettes are legal and taxed, and so are a lot of prescription drugs, but we still have black markets for them. Why? Because it's cheaper to buy them that way

1.) People constantly teasing/making fun of others &/or beating them up like they have done to me while I was in my childhood years in school.

2.) People constantly lying to my face, such as asking a girl or woman if she had a boyfriend or if she was married & then tells me that she doesn't have a boyfriend or that she isn't married, etc. I get very pissed off at them about that.

3.) People being obnoxious & very rude, etc. Ugh. It's like they haven't been taught to respect other people.

I'm not Asian, but it is kind of silly. I tried telling someone at my job that some Chinese people will be insulted if you call them Japanese or vice-versa, and she just says she doesn't care because they all look the same to her. I can only basically tell the difference by names though, and that's about it.

When I met her, I told her I'm not able to tell the difference between Chinese people and Japanese people by looks, and she says that they can. Though that's not in harmony with what a Korean-American woman who I once met had told me. She says that not even she can tell the difference. That's why she didn't get offended when I had taken a guess and thought she was Chinese.

I can understand not being able to tell East Asian or South-East Asian people apart well ... but people from the India/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh/Pakistan area are very different. It just seems a little strange to be mistaken for one, they are far and away the largest Asian group in the UK

Banks trying to charge you for everything. On different occasions, I have had to threaten to empty a bank account and, in one instance, actually close it so the bank would not try to charge me! If I miss a payment on something, that is between me and the creditor - it's NOT for the bank to demand money from me!

"Super injunctions." If I were cheating on my husband or wife, people would be allowed to talk about me. So why should someone abuse the law just because they are rich and/or famous?
