We need a Henshin-A-Con

Think more selflessly then, if you want a Henshin Con you should have it in a location thats convenient for the majority, especially since there have been very few Toku themed cons and the community is small and mostly is just Rangerboard, HJU, and a few more sites.

And DragonCon is pretty major but you probably have a few more smaller cons, most areas do have small cons that many people in the fandom don't hear about. For me it was Xanadu Las Vegas, which was apparently around almost as long as Anime Vegas but I never heard of it until this year.

HJU should try to form a convention that covers Toku in all its delicious forms.

Any spot is good. Because when you think about it, no matter what location you choose, there will still be a lot of people who wont make it or will have to spend a lot of travel money to make it.

I think an area with a good convention-type population would be nice. So California, Texas, Georgia, etc.

I was honestly thinking Georgia myself.

Seems to be the best place around here.

And not just for Toku of course. We could call it Henshin-A-Con, cuz thats the main focus, but not every con has just one focus. Make it for Toku, Anime, Video Games, Comic Books, the works.

Just remember the best location is the one best for the majority, yes you can have a Toku Con in a large city but if only a few people that are actually into toku can go you might as well just hang out in a comic shop.

The closest you'd ever get to that is the late, lamented Asian Fantasy Film Expo (2000-2002), held in New Jersey.

Although I love Dragon*Con, AFFE is my favorite convention of all time. I want something just like it, even in the same location!

Would be much more feasible (and cheaper) to just hold some panels at the major cons HJU usually attends, such as ACEN or Youmacon. Would get a lot larger attendance that way, since they're already established conventions. Not to mention anime otaku are ripe for the picking. We could even rally some members for a toku cosplay group to help promote it... A staged fight during the masquerade would surely turn some heads.
