That's what anime conventions are good for, they've got diversity in subject matter.
I think a toku convention is still a bit of a pipe dream at this point. Not enough interest to really pull off anything beyond a small gathering of fans. That's why I suggested invading an anime convention, since there are going to be at least some toku fans there as well as a ton of people who are already into anime and other Japanese miscellany that could potentially and very easily fall to our end of the spectrum.

It's Judgement Time!
TokuCon would be nice. Could feature Godzilla and other forms of Japanese shows (and should include American Toku in some form. PR, KR: DK, etc.)

Now THAT con you can devote to Japanese superheroes.
A "Toku-Con" should be more diverse. A "Toku-Con" just having Japanese superheroes makes about as much sense as an "Anime-Con" that only has DBZ/Sailor Moon/Naruto/goth/emo/gamer culture/etc., and nothing else. That's what it's getting to be like, and it worries me.
