Was it worth the price?

It's a metal hero show, and it's never been subtitled. It gave someone in hollywood the idea to rip it off and make Robocop...which in turn was ripped off into a metal hero show in the 90's.
Actually, Robocop came first and Jiban took the idea from it. Before that, Robocop took some ideas from Gavan.

It was actually the first of two metal heroes who ripped off Robocop. The legend goes that Robot Keiji and/or Gavan "inspired" Robocop and Robocop "inspired" Jiban and then Janperson...but the first Robocop movie is better than all three of those put together. Robocop could have been sexed up with some Kushida tunes, though.

Jiban's cool, but it can get sappy with Naoto's friendship with the girl, who it seemed to me she always unintentionally falling into traps of the villains. And even though it would have seemed to have ripped off Robocop too much this way, I would have liked for the series to have started with them showing us how Jiban came to be. The metal heroes never really cared for showing origins or having filmed segments for backstory.

You thought Robocop was...good? Ah well, I've always heard that Robocop lifted it's story from one Metal Hero or some random toku, which in turn lifted Robocop's story.
