"Let's DRIVING!!!!!"
I have just finished watching Kamen Rider Kiva, and I didn't think it was that great. Mainly because of the whole time swaping back and forth to 1986 and 2008. So far, the theme was alright, it was just Kiva realizing that he should be thankful that he exist, but I didn't like how he was reverted to a iffy-knock off character of Prof. Xavier from "X Men". The favorite parts were the love triangle between Wataru, Mio, and Taiga-kun, and Megumi and Yuri's debut as IXA.

Overall, I felt that they could have at least had a continuation of the 1986 storyline of Kiva as a TV Prequel than having it in between the TV show.

That's about it.

What are your opinions?

It's a show that had a lot of potential, some great characters, but really didn't deliver story wise. I really liked Otoya, Jiro, and Yuri as characters, I could totally watch an all 1986 Kiva. That was the reason I stuck with the show.

What they should have been doing was starting the story on 1986 right in the middle of their big battle with the Fangire, introduce Maya earlier on, and the rest of the big players in the hierarchy of the Fangire. While on the 2008 side start it how it was started with Wataru really coming along as Kiva. That way the earlier episodes wouldn't have been like useless, and towards the end of the series, the 1986 story could have been wrapped up by the mid-30's-40's, while Kiva's was still building towards it's ending, and they could have concentrated more on that and not rushed everything, and had pointless moments like fake deaths and ****. They should have kept Nago as a button loving psycho, because his character was dead to me after he changed.

I don't care what anyone says, I thought the movie was awful. The mini trailer with all the scenes that didn't even appear in the movie was better! :loltongue:

That's exactly why I think they should have made a seperate series for the 1986 story of Kiva.

I actually LIKED that whole time travel bit...as long as they weren't using it to fix problems before they begin.

Anyways, I think the first 20 or so episodes of Kiva are great, after that...not so much. The ending, especially the last three episodes I felt were pretty rushed.

I thought that's what added to the coolness of it.

You have no sense of style, do you?

The whole idea of Kiva's dual storyline was to show how the events of the past affected the events of the present. Throwing in all this time travel where past and present characters keep colliding with each other ruins the effect. Then of course there is the fact that Toei has been doing this for three years now (Four counting Decade's Ryuki visit). Time for some new material, people.
