I might try to buy either an SH Figuarts or Robot Damashii fig later on but I wont to know if the US Customs also have fees for these? I'm scared to buy from other stores like YesAsia or HLJ because of added costs (never mind the shipping or tax). anyone can give me info?

You don't get any fees if you buy from HLJ.

I haven't had to pay any import duties on anything (that I know of) and I've imported a bunch of CD's and DVD's, and a few toys.

If your total amount is over 38 bucks then there's free shipping from yesasia ^^ There are actually more expenses if you buy off of Amazon Japan...

Amazon.com shipping is pretty expensive (HMV is almost as bad), Yesasia's free shipping is the best deal I've found for importing stuff. It does take a little longer though. :sweat:

Well My Macross-loving friend from Sacramento said he paid Customs when he bought his Frontier model kits, thus why I don't feel like importing.

Unless you are shipping something like a car, I doubt you'd get hit with any fees.
