Ultraseven X: It's good, but...

...it's awfully short on Ultraman action, isn't it?

I mean, in most of the episodes he shows up at the end for like 30 seconds. Surprising.

Don't get me wrong. I like the show. It's unusual, in my experience, to find an Ultra show which is so moody, dimly-lit, dark, and serious. But it's dark without being BLEAK, so I'm fine with it.

But wow, it's really light on the titular character himself.

PS - Have there been other Ultra shows where the Ultraman can manifest in human-size form? I was surprised to see this in UsX as well.

The original Ultra Seven was used as just a token character in several of his episodes too, you know. Nothing new there. Anyway, I almost think the show would work better without Seven but I love it as it is.

Never having seen the original Ultraseven I actually didn't know that. And I agree, it probably WOULD work better without the "Red Giant," but you're right, it's still really satisfying.

Yeah there were a shortage of Ultraseven action. I mean, one time he transfromed into him just to WAVE GOODBYE TO SOMEONE!

Thanks for the info, feedback, and responses everyone. I just finished watching the last episode only now, and WOW. That ending was great. Excellent show!! Woooo!
