Ultraseven X: It's good, but...

The only problem I had with the series was the fight scenes were just too damn short. Other then that I loved it.

Same here, I think that show would've been called something different if Ultraman wasn't in it.

I liked the story a lot better. This is probably one of my favorite Toku's, though extremely short.

It's not a favorite series for me but Episode 7 is easily one of my favorite episodes of the whole Ultra Series.

I think that was the point though, X-Files meets Ultraman.

It was still a solid fucking show. I love it. Just gimme some more fighting.

ULTRASEVEN X isn't really a hero show; Seven just shows up to finish the job. They're basically just straight sci-fi stories. It's more like Tsuburaya's 2004 late-night series ULTRA Q: DARK FANTASY than anything else.

In terms of style, SEVEN X's creators have also openly cited films such as BLADE RUNNER as a direct influence.

I really liked the show. The stories are smart, there's an interesting social commentary, and it's really well shot. I also like the rock/jazz soundtrack.
