Ugliest/Scariest looking tokusatsu monster?

This transformation into the two-headed monster scared the **** out of me and the image stayed in my mind for a few nights when I was a kid..

For me, it would be Beludra from Ultra Galaxy Legend. That thing was a living nightmare since he was made from Belial & 100 Ultra Monsters.

Beludra was a super-cool suit effect. (Not actually scary to me, though.)

Gaira (the Green Gargantua) from War of the Gargantuas (Toho; 1966). IMHO, he's the scariest giant monster in tokusatsu history (and suitmation actor Haruo Nakajima's favorite role besides Godzilla). I actually had nightmares about this guy!

Also the post-apocalyptic mutants from the now-banned Prophecies of Nostradamus (Toho; 1974). They had me shivering on the spot!

That entire movie scared the crap out of me.

Scary is tough for me because most monsters don't scare me with looks, mostly their abilities (Horrors, Grongi). Any moving dolls I find creepy (Notable one in Dogoo Girl) and probably Chiharu's disfigured form from The Next.

I don't feel scared of any Toku monsters but I consider them nasty...

I agree with the Grongi and Chiharu...


My favorite is Shinken monsters...
