So the image below appeared on the twitter feed for Jorge from the Tokusatsu Network. According to him, this really does come from FIELDS, the company that owns Tsuburaya, and it details the company's production slate for the next couple of years. I don't speak Japanese, so can only trust his descriptions are accurate. *crosses fingers*

Just as a reminder, an Ultraman Orb spin-off series for Amazon will begin airing in December.

2017
A movie based upon Orb will be released.

There will be TWO new Ultraman series next year. One is apparently aimed at children and the other aimed at adults.

In addition Tsuburaya will be making an original IP TV series (although presumably still a toku?).

2018
Tsuburaya will release three movies during this year - one for each of the TV series broadcast during 2017.

There will also be a "traditional" Ultraman series.

Slightly urious what they mean by traditional. Only thing I can think of is going back to before the toy gimmick became a thing.

Wait wasn't there some ongoing legal battle against Chaiyo's new company over ownership of Ultraman? I saw Anime News Network running an article over it.

The only thing about chaiyo is the ownership of anything from the Original Ultra Q through Ultraman Taro.

It's a battle over rights to distribute Ultra Q through Ultraman Taro plus Jumborg Ace overseas. Tsuburaya can continue to make shows and movies in Japan as long as they want, and they can distribute everything post-Taro across the world (which is why the only Showa shows that Crunchyroll has are Leo and 80). Chaiyo cannot create any new Ultraman shows or movies of their own, but any money made from the Shout Factory sets of Ultra Q, Ultraman, and Ultra Seven goes to them.

Right now, the current legal battle is over Tsuburaya putting episodes and clips of the shows in question up on YouTube and whether or not streaming rights are part of the deal.

Another show for kids, basically. (kids = traditional in this case) There's a column for "Ultraman Series for Kids" and "Ultraman Series for Adults", Adults has one series and one movie listed. (2017, 2018) and "kids" has a movie and a series listed all the way through 2018.

(Also, Toshiki Inoue's Sword Gai manga is getting an anime in late 2017)

That's been going on for well over a decade and doesn't in any way impact Tsuburaya's ability to make new content.

Chaiyo made their own Ultraman series years ago and that was shut down and shelved. Supposedly the entire series was actually filmed.

I'm not sure how it ties into the slate mentioned above, but it's been announced that 'Ultraman Zero: THE CHRONICLE' will begin airing at 9am on Saturday January 7th 2017. From the description it sounds like a Retsuden style show that re-edits Ultraman Zero's previous adventures into an episodic format rather than something new.

The same site also mentions another show called 'Ultra Fight Orb' with a release sometime in the spring. There are no details as to whether this is related to the Amazon Orb spinoff (which was meant to start next month but I haven't heard anything about it recently) or a whole different thing. The site refers to the show as a "continuous battle story" but suggests it's completely new footage rather than just clips from the existing 'Ultraman Orb' show. So I'm guessing it's a miniseries of three minute long episodes just like 'Ultra Zero Fight' and 'Ultra Fight Victory'.
