Trip to Japan Advice?

Plus I'm sure Japan has a healthy suppy of male hookers.

When are ya planning on comin'?

:laugh: Not for a long time. I'm thinking maybe late May 2010. Or sometime in the summer season of June 09 if I graduate early.

I just want to try and get a good idea if this is just some unobtainable dream, or if I can actually make it happen. And give myself (and friends) plenty of time to save up.

Also, practice having to squat in case you run into and have to use an "Asian squat toilet". :laugh:

I've had to use those while I was in China last year. God I hate those! :170:


You might also wanna bring some tissue with you when you go out, asian washrooms don't seem to have toilet paper in them for whatever reason.

No toilet papers on bathrooms especially on train stations. People usually bring their own washcloths.

The best geek shopping is right off the train station in Nakano. Walk under the large arch till you see Mc'Donalds. Walk up the stairs....weep for joy

In the 2 1/2 days I have left until I myself move to Japan (to buy lots of- I mean, to teach English):

I can answer a few of your questions. Feel free to ask away.

As for advice, I have a few right now:
-NEVER eat Strawberry ice cream. EVER. It tastes like Tyenol.
-Melon Fanta is GOOD.
-ALWAYS buy what you see interesting. You'll never see it again (unless its like Den-O, Geki, or Transformers).

I have a whole lot more, but it'd be easier to explain if you asked a few questions.

BTW, do you know any Japanese yourself?
