Transformers: Victory - Newbie Questions

First if you like Star Saber, because who doesn't, you may want to look into the Robot Master version. While it is smaller and made out of plastic it won't force you into taking out a loan to buy it.

Also while both Prime and Megatron both died they did comic back in the later in the Battlestars manga, as Star Convoy and Super Megatron/Ultra Megatron. Star Convoy even got a toy which a is neat little Micromaster base that came with a Hot Rod Micromaster. Actually I think a lot the Japanese commander toys are neat, I would have loved to have seen and got an American Dai Atlas release.

What happened to Optimus and Megatron? Why is this show staring Star Saber and Desaurus? It's cool.. and actually INCREDIBLY welcome as a chance, but.... why?

Convoy (Optimus Prime) dies again when he sacrifices himself to stabilize Vector Sigma in the Headmasters anime. He returns as Star Convoy in The Battlestars.

Megatron, as I'm sure you know, became Galvatron during the events of the TF animated movie. In the Headmasters anime, Galvatron evolves into Grand Galvatron after binging on energon. He is later defeated by the Cybertron Headmasters and entombed in ice. Years later, he is revived by Dark Nova and transformed into Super Megatron in The Battlestars.

What's with the gimmicks I'm seeing? Dinosaurs? And like... robots that come out of them? And what's "Brain Up" or whatever? Does this line up of Transformers have some theme? What's with them all being sword slingers? Again, very cool, but.... how'd this happen?

Japanese Transformers at that time was starting to have a more "super robot" influence. This later lead to the Yuusha/Brave series (which had some mecha that were re-used TF designs).

Been downloading it from TV Nihon actually and have been watching a couple episodes per day. The theme song plays in my head almost non-stop. >__<

The animation style is juuuuust new enough to not be too old. Action direction is a lot of fun too.

Any chance this is better than Headmasters? I watched the first episode, and it's interesting but...gahhh...action kinda bites.

Pretty sure it's much better. The whole series reminds me of the action animation we got in Call of the Primitives.
