Transformers the Cartoon - And people said the anime were bad...

No even Cullen, Welker and the G1 and Beast Era cast along with Simon Furman and the Beast era creative team can or could save this new show.

From the sounds of this though, it doesn't sound like it'll be all that great. 26 stand alone episodes doesn't inspire confidence in it.

Well Furman would bury the franchise because it's clear by now he just simply doesn't have many ideas anymore and has obsessions with a few TF's in particular *coughGrimlockcough*

Corey Burton who voiced Shockwave, Spike and Brawn is back to play Megatron opposite David Kaye (yes that David Kaye) as Prime.

eh... I think it's a vast improvement over the Japanese shows since we'll actually be getting a plot that isn't retarded and doesn't contain annoying plot devices to deal with.

Final importante note: Saturday Morning timeslot. Very important.

You guys might want to calm down just a bit. That's just promo art. The actual series is not going to look like that.

That's the look they want for the series though, which means the animation will probably be even more disjointed than the original series.

I wouldn't go that far... I mean, did you see the art in those comic books? It was down right ghastly, but the story saved it.

Which ones though?

Marvel UK had Andrew Wildman and a few others who lllustrated the best looking pages of any TF comic.

And yeah, the animation design worries me, fans were let down by Armada's premiere, and TF has struggled to nail a series that the majority of fans like since

I'm thinkin this is a parody series. Ya know, like Carranger.

It's not, it's a series focusing on a young Optimus Prime who is beggining to lead the Autobots. It's not a prequel, but it will have that "X-Men Evolution" kind of premise. It's set on Earth. Prime is voiced by David Kaye (Megatron from Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and three of the animes)
