Transformers Animated - Season 3

Oh God, that was amazing. A Fanzone episode and a build up to the finale at all once? Hell. Yes.

Rattrap was great, too. But I think Ratchet and Fanzone playing the Good Cop, Bad Cop routine was the best part.

I liked the nods on today's episode to Jetfire's rocketbooster (that was on the toy) and then it morphed into God Jinrai's backpack & Arm shields after the wings were added.

Eh, Im a bit disappointed in the first part of the finale. Seems like it will be your standard finale. Which is disappointing. For being the final episode, I was hoping for something truly shocking or epic.

I don't think the writers actually knew this was going to be the series finale when they were developing the story.

Oh trust me. Part 2 will be plenty shocking and epic.

The finale was really enjoyable, but as was stated, it was NOT intended to wrap up the series and a lot of the final scenes here and there, whilst tying up the series in a "casual way", do not tie it up in the way anyone would have preferred it to. Many characters have non-endings, cliffhangers, and some of the "shocking" moments came off a footnotes of a typical Simon Furman hitlist.

[hide]Megs didnt really need to survive the implossion that wiped out the Clones...Prime arresting him was a very obvious excuse to set up Megs for the fourth season, possibly corrupting Sentinal Prime later. If they knew they werent going to back, they ought to have cut out that scene. The series ending on the line "you don't deserve it" was a nice touch...either a coincidence or a middle finger to the morons who are going to let the series die.

The final scene irritated me. Yes, it's a happy ending, but the little things liek Sentinal's growing jealously, Megs stature as a prisoner, Sari on Cybertron at last etc...so many characters the series had focused on as a big deal didnt get a farewell nor movede to the next level...all of that is TEASED, and THAT is what makes cancelling good series like this so hard to bear when you have to watch finales that you have to settle for.[/hide]
