Transformer movie toys

I hope Frank Welker does get to do Megatron's voice because it wouldn't be a Transformers movie without him as Megatron! I mean, if the makers can get Peter Cullen to do Optimus Prime's voice then why not Frank Welker?

Oh it's not a matter of getting him, He was ready to do it the moment they said there was gonna be a movie, and the Fans wanted him the moment he said he wanted to do it. The producers on the other hand wanted to make a whole "New" transformers with no ties to previous incarnations.... since Hollywood learned NOTHING from Godzilla.

Frank Welker shouldn't have even been a contest, really. But that's just the kid in me wanting to hear my favorite voices again.

The Op toy doesn't look too bad. Needs more red in it though.

You've long been known to defend **** on a stick, so that's expected.

I wont defend it (there's no point). But Im not going to change my opinion just because you dont like it. I think it looks fine. If you dont agree then oh well, right? Move on.

Okay, aside from the "die hard fans" that hate everything about it, I don't even get the point of this post. That movie made back more than TWO TIMES its own budget. Whether you like it or not, it was a financial success and it's what they want to happen with this movie in terms of revenue. They're trying to make something that appeals to the mass public, and what they like is flashy, "realistic" crap, so that's what they're going to go with. Hopefully it will have a good story to back it.

Anywho, I'd kinda want David Kaye to play Megatron in this movie, I've always liked him better than Welker. Same for Prime, I wanted Gary Chalk to get his voice, but that's probably because I grew up with him as the voice of Prime.

Kaye and Chalk have been overdone, there best performances (and I swear, Beast Machines may be a pile of ****, but their exchanges are the best thing about it) are when there reading original material, not dubbing shitty animes.

Cullen has'nt voiced the character in years, neither has Welker, so it seems more fresh.

what they like is flashy, "realistic" crap,

I happen to like that, and think it's the only reasonable choice to go with for a Live Action TF movie. You know the story already. Autobots vs Decepticons and they are fighting over an item. If you want something deeper than that, go read a comic or watch the animated movie. Cause this movie is just bringing in a simple concept and putting it in a more realistic light. Which I like, because it's a FRESH and NEW take of the Transformers lore. Not just regurgitated stories from the comics or older movie.

Now I might end up eating my words and actually hate the movie, but Im not going to hate it before I actually see it and the concept is good. But like it or not, this is a concept that will bring in all kinds of audiences. Not just transfans.
