Top Ten Hero Episodes of Power Rangers

Shadow and Gatekeeper are definately heroic, but not Top Ten. Good runners up though.

Some other runners up I had were "Go Volcanic" (where the gunman on the bus becomes the hero), "Missing Green," "The Soul of Humanity" ("Humans sometimes make mistakes, but in times of need we humans will do whatever it takes to save our friends")

I only listed "Forever Red" because it had that surreal feel of our childhood heroes coming back and reuniting one last time. It was pretty epic in that sense.

Are you smoking something with these Choices? FR was TERRIBLE outside of it's Hook (Ten Red Rangers).

There's NOTHING heroic about the most powerful zord in the known universe getting blown up by a BIKE.

That's Crap. That's Fanfic that was FILMED and shoe-horned into canon even though I sincerely doubt anyone but Amit actually considers it as such.

Kendrix on the other hand, EFFING DIES. Not to save the universe mind you, not even for her teammates. She dies saving someone she literally just met ONE episode again (Cassie). And it's not 'die, slipped into Coma-mode Joe', it's UTTERLY DESTROYED-typed death. As in NOT coming back to life (until the very of the series via mysterious means).

That's an example of 'True heroism' which you CITED when you made the comment about Mitchell shaping Carter's life. Except that in this case, you're ignoring your own logic for questionable reasons.

And is "Strangers Within" weaker then those Timeforce episodes? Yeah but it's a lot better then some of the episodes you tossed out. It's at least better then "Father's footsteps".

I'd start again with C2D as the #1 episode and go from there. "Fighting Spirit" wouldn't even crack the top five IMO, certainly not higher then Power of Pink.

Yeah thats the reason why Kendrix's 'death' in "Power of Pink" didnt seem as good as the episodes ranked higher than it......... she just met Cassie, the sacrifice seemed forced and tacked on (to obviously accomidate Val's illness).... and perhaps unnecessary since they saw the Megazord arrive (it could have crushed the sword)

While it was a good episode, the ones above it on the list were more consistent and less forced.

I actually thought Alex's 'death' in TF was handled better (and it was the same case as Kendrix where the characters perceive that the person had died when they really hadn't)

I thought "Father's Footsteps" was a better choice than "Stranger Within." The scenes with Alyssa's father and flashbacks were really well acted and I liked the storyline of her trying to live up to her father's (her hero) expectations.

And I don't think most would agree with you about FR being terrible. It certainly has the rep of being one of the better episodes.

I concur.

7) "Mondo's Last Stand" (PRZ) - Rocky takes on King Mondo alone to prove himself when he feels Jason is replacing him.

Why the hell does this get even a mention? By my recollection, Rocky was a whiny little **** in this episode.

Because it wasnt about heroic Blue Ranger episodes, just the best Blue Ranger-centric episodes. He learned a lesson.

If we discount episodes for whining, we'd lose all the Sky episodes!

What others would you suggest?

I would get rid of "Face to Face" and "Home and Away" then replace them with "Idol" and "Dismissed."

And "Idol" would have to be much higher up. >_>
