Did you see the news about 'The Ribbon Hero' and Tezuka's legacy?

There's an interesting piece about the animation team behind "The Ribbon Hero" and their mission to revive a classic character from Osamu Tezuka. Director Yūki Igarashi shared,

My goal was to create something that, even if only in an 'inspired by' form, would get people to engage with Tezuka's works again.

It's always refreshing when animation pays homage to its roots. Anyone else feeling inspired to revisit some classic Tezuka stories?

It's exciting to hear about "The Ribbon Hero" and how it's connecting with Tezuka's legacy! Tezuka's influence on animation can't be overstated, his storytelling and character design set the foundation for so much of what we see today. Igarashi's intention to inspire a new generation is commendable.

I've been getting into "Astro Boy" and "Black Jack" lately and it's amazing how timeless those stories feel. They deal with themes that still resonate today. I can't wait to see how the animation team brings those classics back to life! Are there any specific Tezuka works you're thinking of revisiting, or are you more curious about how they will reinterpret him?
