too many gimmicks in sentai and kamen rider?

that's what im talking about, i mean with gobusters i know it's only episode, but by looking the toy scans and the show, their isnt going to much with gimmicks like gokaiger accept maybe an overdone megazord, of course they are always like that but im glad they are not overdoing the gimmicks because i like things when they are simple and not have blow your brains out of which you dont have to keep picking 35 or 40 small items you have to use to defeat a monster which it's all in the weapons this time.

with fourze like i said i understand it's the 40 anniversary but celebrate with 40 switches, it kind of mind blowing not to menion how it was used in the show. hopefully next kamen rider series they'll concentrate on a simple gimmick/design that it will be fun and not overdone, i doubt it but i hope they do that, l like to see simple fights too not changing forms/switches etc, it's just too much.

So, your changing your argument? First, they had no practical purpose, now it had no ingenuity?

I meant the increase of stuff in Sentai in general, not just Gokaiger. There's no scenario in Gokaiger that the heroes couldn't have solved without resorting to a suit change. Place any other team in their situations and see how they would fare. No real difference.

That's the entire point of being pirates, doncha think? They don't have anything of their own so they use others'.

Then why not use past Sentais' individual weapons instead of costumes, if you need such a gimmick? The Gokaiger don't have personal weapons, so this would be perfect. Marvelous would have an entire collection of swords at his disposal.

Well, Gobuster at least doesn't have as much of a disturbing gimmick.Instead of gimmicks, they're putting out better quality toys for them.

Super Sentai and Kamen Rider will always be gimmicky. Afterall they were designed with the toys and merchandising in mind. They want to add more bonus features in the show so that they wouldlater appear as toys.

GoKaiger was definately gimmicky with it's Ranger Keys and changing into different suits. I think Go-Busters will later have it's gimmicky side.

I would think the key metaphor was clear. You need a key to unlock the treasure chest. Or in this case to unlock the treasure of the past sentai teams.

I thought the reason that Gobusters doesn't have a gimmick is because they were releasing the legend Mobirates and continuing the Ranger Keys through 2012.

Also, as stated earlier, the gimmicks aren't an issue if they're handled well (like in W, or Gokaiger). The issue is when once an episode you have someone saying, "here, use this switch!", and suddenly a pen is attached to a guy's leg.

candroid were good and catchy... foodroids are over-the-top merchandizing

No, they're both pretty over-the-top. Put em together and you have a friggin Bandai Happy Meal.

Though I think in-story the fooddroids are Yuuki's creations which given her personality I could see her coming up with something that wacky. So it doesn't feel quite as out of place. Still not my favorite element of the show but not a deal breaker either.

Probably off-topic but I think that the certain 2nd riders and 6th sentai heroes would have too much fluent English speaking gimmicks in their henshin devices, rider belts, and weapons.

For Example:
-Gattack's Gattack Zector
-Gosei Knight's Leon Cellular
-Meteor's Meteor Driver
-The Faiz, Kaixa, Delta, Psyga, Orga, and Riottroopers' Belts.

What do you think?!
