Toku Shows and Monster Rights

Hey, not all monsters have it bad. We do see Native Worms, Orphenochs and Fangire trying to live peacefully with humanity. Undead such as Hajime and Kenzaki are still out there, defending mankind.

As for the monsters in school, they should actually be enjoying a peak in their popularity due to books such as Twilight and I am Number Four. If they want to take part in the popularity, they just have to reveal that they are monsters.

We live in a society where prejudice is slowly being phased out. It's no longer the sign of superiority to hate on a person for their skin tone or sexual preference. Why should we hate them for being monsters?

As was once said by the Great Kaijuu Mothra, esq., "SKREEEEEE!" And really, isn't that all that matters in life? To live, to love, and make friends with people of all races, creeds and dietary preferences?

Likewise, the monsters presented in these shows often have very shallow motivations for living. Usually killing other living beings, or abusing their desires. These are negative traits that a monster should never instill into their children.

It is my belief therefore, that these shows are not damaging to monster kind, but are instead educational. Much the same way that Sesame Street is educational to human children, Kamen Rider and Super Sentai are educational to monster children. The lesson to be learned is "Keep your souls pure, and your desires noble and you will live a long and healthy life. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Don't be an asshole to other people."

Monsters need not live in fear of us. That's why I'm setting up the Human/Kaijin alliance. Where man and monster can live together, watch Kamen Rider together and fight evil together. After all, do we not all share this world?

Unless you're a Fangire, then for a good chunk of Kiva you were taught that, "no being good, because the Checkmate Four will hunt you down."

Hell even Monsters have it tough against Monsters.
