Toku Recommendations

Alright so now that the HK's have almost become extinct I do plan on buying toku off ebay in vcd format as full series. So I made this thread as a way to get some help from you guys so I know what I should get. Thus far on my list I have

B-Fighter
B-Fighter Kabuto
Speilban
Metalder
Bioman
Maskman

No more Kamen Riders though. I'm all Kamen Ridered out after watching V3, All the classic movies, Black, RX, Kuuga, ZO, Agito, Ryuki, Faiz, Blade, and some of Hibiki. LoL :198:

I need some help on what other series' I should check out. Now, I'm looking for dark, epic, and dramatic stuff here. None of this comedy bullshit.

So what do you guys think?.

Changeman & Flashman!

Zubat. It will make you forget any other Hiroshi Miyauchi character. He's comedic, but not stupid -- the laughs aren't a result of making him look stupid like most of our new tokusatsu heroes, but the ways he'll always one-up the goons of the week. It's formulaic as hell, but the action is pretty damn swift for the sluggish 70s. The villains aren't aliens or demons or anything, either -- just disfigured criminals. The grunts of the show are even humans!

Carranger -- see a sentai that's trying to be funny and actually succeeds. Plus, you'd love Zonette.

I already got Zyuranger, Kakuranger, and Carranger on the way.
I shall add Change & Flashman to my list.

I'd highly reccomend Spielban!! B Fighter is great too, but Spielban is awesome!!

Like Shougs did, I would recommend my favorites....

SUPER SENTAI

Hikari Sentai Maskman - serious series, impressive storylines (Great Five sinking to the ground, Shot Bomber blowing up, etc.) lots of action, interesting villains (especially Oyobu and Okerampa), and of course, semi-nudity (Princess Ial.....and I have the screencaps to prove it!)

Chodenshi Bioman - great team chemistry, Bio Hunter Silver (need I say more) not bad for an 80s sentai.

METAL HERO

Tokkyu Shirei Solbrain - not bad for a rescue series. A little bit different from a regular sentai/toku series because each episode is more of a casefile. No monsters but they mostly deal with terrorist-like gangs (just like Exceedraft). Winspector/Solbrain teamup is a must see episode.

Kikaida. I liked it better than Kamen Rider V3, and the JN DVD's are pretty wondergreat.
