Here's the other Digimon "Hibiki" plot I was thinking of. It takes place a few years after Frontier (Season 4 in the dub).

After the defeat of Lucemon, both the Human and Digital Worlds have been at peace. The years went by, and Takuya, Izumi (Zoe), Kouji, Kouichi, and Junpei (J.P.) moved on with their lives, going to college while Tomoki (Tommy) started attending high school. The Digital World, Bokomon, Neamon (Neemon), and the Three Great Angels (Celestial Digimon) were nothing more than a memory now. A memory they will never forget.
In the Digital World, humans becoming Digimon became a popular fact recorded in their history, as time in the Digital World progresses much faster than the Human World. As only seven years in the Human World had passed since the events of the Digimon Warriors (Digimon Frontier aired in Japan in 2002 to 2003), seventy years have gone by in the Digital World. Behind the eyes and backs of the Celestial Digimon, Seraphimon, Ophanimon, and Cherubimon, the residents of the alternate dimension within the Digital World known as Witchelny turned to a science forbidden by the Royal Knights and even the God of the Digital World itself, the omnipotent Yggdrasil.
Witchelny captured Digimon from the eight families, ten of one element: Greymon (Fire), Garurumon (Light), Kabuterimon (Thunder), Falcomon (Wind), Seadramon (Water), Andromon (Metal), Terriermon (Light), Keramon (Dark), Sunflowmon (Wood), and Ikkakumon (Ice). They experimented on them and extracted their D.N.A. codes.
However, the evil Demon Lord Barbamon got wind of this and attacked Witchelny. He wanted to make sure that he would succeed with what a "youngster like Lucemon" can't. By taking these 10 Digimon DNA, he can engineer and create ten new Digimon of darkness. The residents of Witchelny were shocked and never expected that this would happen. In the spur of the moment, Wisemon created six devices known as DigiNaturalAdvents (DiNA for short), which was all he had time to create, and implanted five of the Digimon DNA into them, sending them across the dimension and into the Human World. Barbamon took the other five of the DNA samples, them empty Digimon shells, and the last remaining Digivice and destroyed the dimension known as Witchelny completely.
News of Witchelny's disappearance and experiments came to the Sandaitenshi (Three Great Angels), the Royal Knights, and Yggdrasil. They feared Barbamon's latest accomplishment, and Ophanimon, given no other choice, relied on the aide of the Human children of the other world.

Now, the point of this plot is a bit different than Digimon Frontier. The children can evolve into Digimon, but they aren't Legendary Warriors or anything. This isn't Agnimon, Lobomon, etc. Once the main characters reach the Digital World, and awaken the DNA of the Digimon in their Digivices, they are infused with that DNA and become Digimon themselves. However, only when the devices are inside them that the DNA is infused with theirs, but the more they transform, the more their DNA becomes the Digimon's.
This RP consists of made-up Digimon. So we need an artist for this. The first initial forms are...
WildGreymon - the term "Wild" comes from either Wild = feral or "wildfire."
LusterGarurumon - Luster means "shine".
Kujakumon - Kujaku is Japanese of "peacock"
AlphaKabuterimon - Alpha comes from the Greek letter "Alpha," as well as a reference to "alpha particles".
Yukitsunemon - A combination of yuki (japanese for snow) and kitsune (fox).
As the story progresses, they take more human like forms, which result in their Ultimate (Mega) forms.

Thinking about it now, I can't find a Hibiki reference in this. but I see a W reference. When the DNA is activated, it enters the host's body, similar to how Dopant Memories enter the human. The characters in this story are MEANT to be anti-heroes, not heroes.
