Things People Don't Like about You

I'm too nice. People expect me too be hard. apparently your not black if your nice...or if you smile. :redface2:

Ugh..... 32 years in dude and I still get this and hate it. But like what Hoshi said..... then it is up to us to change the meaning of what it is to be black! :castlerock:

7. People tell me I don't have a sense a humor because I don't laugh at their jokes. I do actually, but it's only triggered when something is ACTUALLY funny

You know this happens to me too. I worked at a place once and one of my coworker kept saying how she'd get me to laugh somehow. As if it was hard! The problem is I have a weird sense of humor and I don't laugh at the kind of crap you would send through email to some guy in a cubicle. -.-

I do laugh at stupid puns though.

False.

Nice girls want the nice guys.

I don't want some asshole who'd going to be a dickhead.

That only works for mature young women, like you. Teenage girls are stil stuck in the bad boy's mystique.

Eventually they grow out of it. So don't give up! Slow and steady wins the race.

I wish.

:buttrock: Definitely. That is now quoted and engraved in my mind.

He's right. Unfortunately.

I'm black to and I was considered one of the nicest guys in high school. I've never heard anyone say that.

I'm very light-skinned though and back in school my friends would often tease me about my complexion(Not in a bad way.)

Apparently you're not black if you don't talk slang or don't frequently use the N-word.

^ Like half the time I talk slang/Ebonics. But theres about a handful of **** I don't know. I hate how theres a new freakin word everyday. lol

There's this girl I work with. She's white but I think she thinks she's black. She's always singing rap music. The garbage stuff like Soulja Boy. She always saying things like "Fo sho" or calling people "Son." Just last week she text message another one of my co-workers saying "You's a hoe." but this is how she put it "U's a how." I'm not sure if that's her trying to be black or if she can't spell.

LOL, I witness people like that everyday. Some of them are slick with it so it's not even an issue. But the others, like the one at your work are just fake, to be cool. I'm not saying she's a bad person, but it's best to let those type of people either continue doing it then realizing "wtf am I doing?" or take it far enough that someone other then yourself will set them straight and tell them the truth. lol Thus humiliating them. And trust me you don't want to do that, it'll put you in an awkward spot.
