The Yu-Gi-Oh (Card Game) Thread

I use to play this in High School. The only girl duelist in a room full of duelist and Magic players. But somehow my deck got stolen. It was just sitting on my table in front of me, I turn around and back and it was gone! My holo Mystical Elf! XP (Crazy LOB packs and their holo version of starter deck cards) My Rageiki!

After Junior year, I stopped. It was the TCG I'll ever get into. So much money spent to try and have a Spellcaster deck.

I remember one time I NEARLY lost my deck. I was heading to school on the bus one morning,, and I stretch out my legs to relax a little, and my leg ends up kicking my deck box. I probably wouldn't have noticed that it was missing till I needed it!

I'm always extra cautious about my stuff, so I've never had any cards stolen from me...though I did end up losing my Kaiba Evolution blue eyes.

GIGA GAGAGIGO FTW

Its pretty decent for a Water Deck but really needs an effect

I have a Spellcaster Deck in Duel Monsters Unlimited (A free online version of the game). It was pretty decent but in general Spellcaster decks are pretty situational Control decks. Although its pretty much rape all the way through if you get a Breaker early on. Also Dark/Black Magician, cool looking card with lots of nice variants but I'd wish they'd give it some support to make it useful.

i like to run a magician deck, since the spell counters system is pretty awesome, breaker and defender combined with magical citadel of endymion can clear out trap and spell cards while defender protects monsters. lot of fun stuff

warrior beatdown/swarm decks are also pretty fun, i currently run a six samurai deck, although it is a little lacking without the grandmaster in the deck

Combine Endymion with Destiny Draw/Trade In/Allure of Darkness and Royal Magical Library and you have yourself a FTK Exodia deck.

Also Grandmaster and Great Shogun Shien are staple cards for Six Sam decks, duels will be an uphill battle without either of those in the deck.
Here this is my Six Sam deck: http://yugioh.tcgplayer.com/db/deck.asp?deck_id=58515

I did follow the regular card game for a bit but when I realized how insanely expensive it would be to actually assemble a viable deck I switched to a digital format & haven't looked back.

Also watched the anime once in a while.

Well it depends on the deck...and depends if you go to card shops or not. Most of them try to rip you off, actually just rip off little kids. For example at a card shop they'll sell a Dark Creator for $10 while you can pick one up online for $2 or a Grandmaster of the Six Samurai for $25 while you can get 3 of them for $6 online. As for decks like I said earlier there are some pretty cheap decks which consist of mostly or entirely of commons. Like Blackwings (which is the biggest example) or Glads Beast (to an extent).

But then you got your expensive decks like Lightsworn and Assault Mode.

Speaking of the anime I must say 5D's is some of the stupidest **** I've ever seen, even for a kids show. I watched about 10 or so episodes, almost dropped it after the first where I noticed even the fucking police settle things with Yu-Gi-Oh. Its society revolving around how good you are in a children's card game. Although I do like how Jack Atlus announces "ORE NO TAAHN!"
