Bong Sun-Hwa is not a perfect person, but that is why I stayed. She makes choices that are risky, sometimes emotional, but they make sense for someone who lost everything. I liked that the story did not rush her recovery. Prison, losing her child, and being betrayed actually changed her personality. Moon Sang-Hyeok is one of those characters I hated but could not ignore. He felt real because people like him exist. The second marriage plot could have been silly, but it worked because the family tension stayed strong. I also liked the workplace scenes in the confectionery company. They were dramatic but easy to follow.

I am usually tired of daily dramas, but I finished this one. That says something. The pacing is messy, but I accepted it early. Once I stopped expecting realism, I enjoyed the emotional fights and betrayals more. Bong Sun-Hwa’s growth felt earned, especially when she learned to stay calm instead of reacting with anger. Yoon Jae-Min was a relief character for me. He was kind without being weak, which is rare. The villains were loud and obvious, but that is part of the fun. I watched it after work, one episode a day, and it fit that routine well. I would not binge it again, but I do not regret the time I spent on it.

The actress who played Bong Sun-Hwa has appeared in other Korean soap-opera-style dramas. Her character always dives in. It's like: “Hey! Life for me can't get any worse. Might as well go for it. It's sink or swim.” LOL.
