The "Say Something Nice About Go-Onger" Thread!

You know, it's not as though she or Toei is trying to flaunt that fact. Oikawa is supposedly distancing herself from that part of her career (Was it really porn or just movies with nudity?).

From how Shougo was talking here, it seems to be the former. (Also, you can try to imagine what Google gave me as results when I typed "Nao Oikawa" in since I had a quick moment where I forgot who she was).

Pretty sure Nao Oikawa was selected for her role in homage to Zonette, who was also played by a JAV performer (I can't remember her name offhand, though). After Zonette proved quite popular, quite a few other shows had a villainess played by a JAV actress... enough that Akibaranger uses Malshina (also played by a JAV actress) to parody the trope.

Hmm, I mostly hated this show but I think that's the point of this thread.

The Go-on Wings were great 6th rangers.

Catchy theme song. I disagree that it was better than Shinkenger's opening, bit I have seen much worse.

The shear number of variations on the ending theme was actually pretty impressive from a writing perspective.

The final villain quoting President Obama was fall out of my chair funny.

Wow, 4 things. I honestly didn't thin I'd come up with that many.

Well, of course, I LOVE Yumi, and Miu too  . Saki and Kegadeshia were pretty too...

- I really like the song. After Goseiger's, is one of my favourites, and the different openings are good too.

- Some of the battles are interesting, like the fight between Sosuke and Yogostein.

- Was nice to see Ren leading the whole team when Sosuke was like...dead. He was definitely a great character!

- The helmetless. Definitely.

- G3 Princess made possible two of the best songs, Smile x Smile and especially, Yume No Tsubasa. And then, the appereance of the G5 Prince.

- Hiramekimedes. Still remember when they couldn't name him!

- Oh, and the movie! Nice to see Mika Kikuchi once more...

The only things that are nice about Go-Onger are the theme song, the Go-On Wings, the movie version and its following lead-up episodes, the team-up with the Gekirangers and.....Yogostein, Kitaneidas, and Kegareshia. That's about it.
