Batman's willing to shoulder that burden for the city and no doubt... he's a true hero.
Buuuuuuuuuuuut.................. would we say he killed Two Face? I loved how it almost thumbed its nose at the first Burton Batman by saving The Joker before he died. Cuz Batman doesn't kill.
But yeah....... did he kill Two Face? :eyebrow:

Actually, Batman has killed twice in DCAU continuity. One in Justice League Unlimited and again in Batman Beyond. Both cases had exenuating circumstances, of course, but he did kill.

Wait..my mistake. The first time was in the JLU ep "Dead Reckoning" when Devil Ray was accidentally killed by Deadman (who possessed Batman) after attempting to assassinate Wonder Woman. In Batman Beyond, he threatened to kill a criminal with a gun while he was suffering from a heart attack, but didn't actually kill him.

The movie doesn't make it very clear. The ending is really rather muddled.

He dove at harvey and they both fell. Harvey died in the fall. It was not intentional, but yes, Batman killed Two face.

Then explain yourself. You say it sacrificed what it means to be a super hero, and the movie proved that this Batman was a hero.

so i finally got to watch this movie with my girlfriend, and I've gotta say that this is the best movie I've watched in a while, the best superhero movie since Spider-man 2 and I will personally incite a riot if it doesn't win at least one oscar this year
heath ledger (RIP) lived up to the hype that was set, hell he surpassed it. the joker was terrifying, manipulative, calculating and psychotic. a man who was unmotivated by money or greed but as alfred stated "a man only wanted to see the world burn" even his simplest actions were with the most devious intentions, killing anyone and everyone, for any and all reasons. a portrait of the evil that men can cause. a man who laughs at mass destruction, chaos, and terror, truly terrifying and truly deserving of an oscar. ledger shines in every single one of his scenes and outshines the rest of the actors despite all of the oscars and praise that they have recieved
christian bale, tho he didn't spend too much time as bruce wayne, was great but like the rest of the actors in this movie was easily outshined by ledger. like tobey mcguire in spiderman 2, bale portrays a man torn by his duty and his desire, he believes that society can take over for him to protect the innocent. I am slightly disappointed by the lack of the love story between rachel and bruce, but it's understandable. though some may criticize his raspy voice as batman i myself find it very enjoyable and find it hard to believe that it's bale in the costume.
maggie gyllenhal was way better than katie holmes, who's a piece of crap, as rachel, a woman who is torn between two men but makes the realistic choice. though her love for Bruce is downplayed in this movie, it's very understandable, and her fate in the movie leaves a space wide open for Batman's one true love: Catwoman (played by Morena Bacarrin :169: )
aaron eckhart was probably the second best actor in this movie, after heath ledger of course, portraying a character of unquestionable moral character willing to believe in the people and willing to put his life in the hands of a masked vigilante until his faith is shattered by a single event. eckhart's corruption is a truly chilling event to watch. a man who's life was anchored down by a single person. My only complaint is that his rampage as two faced seemed to be very rushed.
like i said the characters and actors in this movie were truly amazing.
the plot was amazing, it showed us the depths of good and evil that man can succumb to.
here's to seeing catwoman in the next movie.
