But yeah...8 gold medals in the Olympics that took place in '08 in a country where 8 is considered a lucky number. Michael Phelps is now a legend.

The Baltimore Sun probably had their cover ready to go before last night's event. The headline read SOLID GOLD and had a huge picture of him. I was at a Protomen concert last night and at the end they whipped out a US flag and asked if Phelps won, isn't this Phelps territory, etc.. We said yes, then somebody in the crowd grabbed the mic and said "Tired of it!"
