The Military and Power Rangers

I know i'm really not the only one who has noticed the lack of Military Intervention with attacks of Giant whatevers on American cites.

The only time we have every seen any kind of Military in action was a single guy (probably National Guard) evacuating people in Lightspeed Rescue.

You would thing they would want to go all JDSF on them, but they just don't do jack.

It makes you wonder.

You forgot about the Starship Trooper guys from Lost Galaxy trying to fight the aliens once and failing rather spectacularly.

If you needed an explanation past "the original footage doesn't have military intervention either and it would be too expensive to create it every time" you could say, in most situations, the monster attacks happen so suddenly that, by the time the military is able to mobilize, the Rangers have already handled it.

These are genre savvy military, they know the rangers can handle the job and all that will happen if they interfere is that they will get their asses handed to them.
