The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (Blu-Ray)

whether you like it or not..streaming quality through Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, or etc is still below the actual bluray due to bandwidth......

LOTR EE BD is going to be EPIC....
As I said before, I don't give a crap. I personally enjoy all the money I save by paying a messily $5/month (split between bf and I) to watch movies versus going out and paying $10 per movie ticket or $25 for a blu-ray disc for one stinkin' film as opposed to unlimited. Sure, you have to wait for it to be released, but I'm a patient man. So, ya know, post as many laughing smiley emotes as you want, doesn't change the fact that I'm perfectly happy with my preferred way of watching movies. :loltongue:

I'm a Blu-Ray whore, I admit it, and even I can admit that Blu-Rays are way to expensive. Your paying about $30 for a Blu-Ray and boxsets for TV series can run you $80 depending on the show. DVD's will die. Technology will never stand still, if you think it will your an idiot, this generation may not embrace Blu-Ray, but as the new younger generations start to work whatever is new will be embraced. Maybe once DVD's die Blu-Rays will be cheaper, I hope. And remember, Violet-Rays are just on the horizon...

Anyways. I loved the LOTR Trilogy, but i'm not willing to spend more than a hundred dollars for movies I didn't think were "spectacular". I'm saving my money for the inevitable Complete Series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel on Blu-Ray...make it happen Joss

I find bluray to be about the same price as dvd nowadays when its first release. Amazon has the LOTR EE Trilogy around $85, each LOTR EE DVD set was $30 each when it was release back then equaling $90. So to me the prices are about the same nowadays.
