Lustful Butchery
Throwing Some Justice!
I was planning to go to the theater this Sunday, but I have no idea what to see. So I'm SOMEWHAT interested to see this, since I know someone said it's worth the $. So Is this film even worth it?
Misfits couldn't be more wrong.
Its a remake of a classic horror film produced by the guys that did the original. Its a horror remake I was actually looking forward to. It looks like they just changed the setting to modern day and changed the focus on the parents killing off the convicts instead of the convicts psychological torture on the girls (since the torture is too controversial for today's cinema, forcing girls to piss themselves and have crying sex with each other).
Sure it may not be as good as the original but it ain't worst than Legend of Chun Li. People seem to be throwing that term around without thinking at all lately, "Worst than Chun Li". Remember Chun Li stands as one of the worsts films of the 21st Century, just because a film looks bad it doesn't mean its THAT bad just yet.
All signs point to this being a **** film. This thing may be worse than "Chun-Li"
What signs are those? Critics? I mean have you even seen it yet? I guess not.
It doesn't necessarily need to be critics, judging from solely the marketing if I had just seen a commercial the other day for example and had no prior knowledge of it nor knew the history of the original and how its held in high regards today I could say it looks like your run of the mill dumb horror/slasher movie with nothing interesting about it.
See none of that matters to me. I stopped basing what I go see or buy on commercials and **** a long time ago. Most of the time nothing you see in the previews is anything like what you get in the final product. I just go and judge for myself.
I do the same on occassions, sometimes commercials will market a film for something its not, sometimes it markets a film for exactly what it is. But you see thats just us, I'm speaking for others that might base their views off solely a commercial. I'm saying that if someone with no prior knowledge of the film saw a commercial I can see why they would think what Misfits said.
