THE LAST DINOSAUR (1977) - Japanese Trailer

[ryuuseipro]

This is the trailer to the 1977 Rankin-Bass/Tsuburaya Productions co-production The Last Dinosaur (Saigo no Kyouryuu), which Toho released on DVD just recently!

This is the best of the three co-productions between the two companies (the other two being The Bermuda Depths and The Ivory Ape). Plus, it just rocks my world to see Hollywood stars in a tokusatsu eiga, complete with Toho/Tsuburaya SPFX and sound effects!

This year is absolutely fortunate to the "Tsuburaya Dinosaur Trilogy Works" (although this movie isn't considered among the works)...:buttrock:

Beginning with rebroadcasting of "Born Free" early this year (followed by FireMan), accompanied with the release of T-Shirts...

Then, the announcement of the "Pora Bora" movie release on DVDs, accompanied with the surprising & unexpected release of the Tyrannosaurs Sofubi figure (which looks a lot like Ururu of "Aizenborg")...

Last and hopefully not least, the release of "Aizenborg" T-Shirts next month...:buttrock:

Hoping such progress leads to the DVD release of both "Aizenborg" and "Koseidon" before the end of 2010... :169:

I'll keep an eye on such topic...

As you're probably aware, Bornfree is already on DVD:

The T-Rex from The Last Dinosaur was indeed later used as Ururu (Tyrannus) from Aizenborg, but fitted with glowing red eyes.

The suit itself was painted (including the teeth)...
Ururu also has the ability to change his eyes color...:coolshades:

The suit was later used again many times on "Koseidon"...

Forgot to mention that the head of the Triceratops from the movie has also appeared in some episodes of "Aizenborg"...:coolshades:

The battle between Ururu and Topura the injured Triceratops in "Aizenborg" is considered a kind of "Homage" or "Parody" to the battle of the movie...
