Next set will be a grouping of 80s/90s fair, two random bits that Undrave (and for the latter one, most Canadian HJUers who had French classes) might remember, and two that are relatively recent/obscure (Anyone else know of these?):

I'd also add The Longhouse Tales, but sadly the clips are as rare as diamonds, and the last of them I saw were taken down. If the combination of Tom Jackson (Billy Twofeathers from Shining Time Station) as "Hector Longhouse," or other characters such as "Dwight the Coyote", "Ish the Wolverine," or "Nevar the Terrible" ring any bells you might remember this one.
EDIT: And, yes, the actors of Seamus Harper from Andromeda (which is technically also a Canadian production) and Ezri Dax from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine were indeed in Deepwater Black.

I never saw Deepwater Black :/ nor did I really watch Shirley Holmes and never heard of Telefrancais ^^;
Man I forgot they also did an adaptation of Where in Time! I remembered they did Where in the World.
But speaking of young detectives...anyone remember a show about a teenage boy who fancied himself a young detective and opened an agency out of his parent's garage and would help the kids in the neigbhorhood out of jams with his clever wits. He had a sister who kept bugging him. I don't remember much from it.
Another show I can't find anywhere that I'm sure is Canadian was a very trippy one. It had two version... in the first one it would start with the cast, a bunch of kids, being stuck in a boring situation (like an exam, stuck in a cabin by the bad weather etc) and something would trigger inspiration in one of them and their head would split open, letting loose some big cardboard SFX with the word 'IDEA' written on it that would carry the kids to a whimsical world of imagination and blue screen where they would explore a theme in various skits. Themes like colours, rythmn, 'Boxes' etc etc.
In the second version the kids weren't sent to this magical land but would go there by entering a disused lot through a secret door in the fence/palissade. Behind the fence in that lot their imagination would come to life, taking them to far out realms and if someone happened to look through a hole they would just see kids galivating around an empty lot. There was an ongoing plot where the descendant of the lots original owner (Whom the kid met a few times in the magical lot) wants to turn it into a parking or some other boring adult stuff. In the end they bring the guy into the lot for him to experience its magic and, being transformed from cranky boring buisnessman to nice guy by the experience he ended up opening the entire fence letting everybody into the terrain for all to enjoy.
I really can't find that show but I'm pretty certain it was Canadian. Probably shot in BC.

Telefrancais and A La Poursuite de Carmen Sandiego were the two I meant. I guess Telefrancais was going a bit on a limb as I don't think it was ever actually televised and was more of an edutainment video series for learning French.

(Jeff's actor, Jeff Hyslop, is/was a big name name in Canadian theatre and musical productions, such as a famous travelling production of Phantom of the Opera, and choreographed all the dance performances on Today's Special. And you know what's really scary,... he's now about 58. Granted, the show originally aired around 1982 to 1987, and I saw it much later than that, but that just makes me feel terribly old. I also found a better version of the opening.)

Anyone remember Incredible Story Studio?
It was the show where kids wrote the scripts to 10 minute stories, sent them in, and they filmed the best ones for the show.
It had a young girl as a host what was simply called "Boss" who talked and dressed like a 1920's reporter. She also acted in a few of the stories.
