The .hack//LINK US Campaign (from .hack and Tales fans)

...I'm bad when it comes to this stuff, but....how bad is 100k?

It came out on March 4th. It's only sold 100,000 copies.

Here's the Media Create chart for Dec 6-12.

Rank. Title (Publisher, System): Week sales (total sales)

19. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo, Wii): 20,520 (3,021,846)
20. Momotaro Dentetsu World (Hudson, DS): 20,487 (65,613)

So, 100,000 copies since March 4th is horrible. Absolutely horrible. Combine that the fact that A) .hack is a media brand in Japan and B) the PSP and its software sell better in Japan, and you can see why they don't want to localize it.

Tales of Graces F has only been out two weeks and it's more than doubled .hack's sales numbers.

Honestly, I think putting it more on a regular console than a portable would have made it more popular (probably?). The thing with .hack//LINK that the MMO game in, "The World R:X", is played on a new system in the series called the M3D, which looks like a PSP (sorta). If they did that to mirror the series...then I don't think that was honestly a good idea.

The past "The World" games, "R:1 and R:2", in the first four .hack games and the G.U. series were played on a computer console and used controllers. Thus, playing it for the PS2 which was out at the time may have been a way to mirror that as well.

....Not that this makes sense or anything, just throwing my two cents.

If Namco Bandai doesn't pull through, we may NEVER see this.

Tales of Grace's Asbel Lhant from ToG F's Downloadable Content, Haseo Xth Form (.hack//G.U.)

This is a nod to Asbel's voice actor, Takahiro Sakurai, who also played Haseo in the original .hack//G.U.

Or if all else fails, it's up to the scene to release an English patch. :P

BUT I'll help, anyway. Since they do have valid points. It's the last .hack game there is, and U.S. fans aren't treated to it?

I'll be focusing more on .hack//LINK, though, since I'm not really into Tales.

There will never be English patches for PS3 games.
