The Guyver & Guyver: Dark Hero

Liked both of them, the first felt a little darker and grabbed me more, but the second was much more fun.

I am sort of torn between which is better but they are both good.

The second was waaaaayyyy better than the first.
[HIDE]What's really trippey is that the guy that played Shawn in the second film is the same guy that does the voice for Snake in the Metal Gear Solid games.[/HIDE]

I thought the first was friggin atrocious. Never to fond of adaptations though. Anime kicks too much ass. The live is a letdown. Luckily I seen the 1st for free at a comic con back in the day when it was coming out. Second was better than the first, I'll leave it at that.

:) Disgusting violence, disgusting violence all over the place. Now if Toku was like this, specifically sentai, It'd be number one entertainment in my book and my favorite show.

So I started watching my first anime, Guyver: BioArmor or whatever is was called, got 2 episodes in and I gotta say it fucking rocks.

Liked both of them, the first felt a little darker and grabbed me more, but the second was much more fun.

You think the 1st movie is darker than the 2nd?. :eyebrow:

Honestly, the first movie was just disappointing and lackluster. bad acting, bad fight choreography, bad monster designs, and Mark Hamill's talent was wasted on it.

The second was just so much better. It felt exciting, I could take it seriously, and the Guyver suit wasn't ruined by poor suit work, but instead really got to shine(plus it was nice to see the actress who played Michelle Walsh on Kamen Rider Dragon Knight)

Guyver: Dark Hero is a pretty good flick. I personally like their version of Guyver 2 the best. He seems more climactic than the anime and manga versions.

The first Guyver movie...uh...well...at least the theme music was cool

The horrid comedy lines ruined ALOT of the scenes in the first movie. I hate that kind of ****. PR is the only genre to be able to pull that **** off and I still cringe to that too.

...as mentioned before...the precursor to Dragon Knight.

PS: ...that water surprise attack from "Dark Hero" (in 1:40)...I can see that done in a Kabuto adapt except...the slash is done by the Kunaigun Kunai Mode and the monster explodes instead of falling in a pool of blood.
