Here's a little contest and slight brainteaser. Think of an equation that will equal 555. Here's the catch:
-You can only use 5s
-Must use at least 3 math symbols (x, +, -)
-Allowed to use brackets

[(5 + 5 + 5 + 5) * 5 * 5] + [(5 + 5) * 5 ] + 5 = 555

Solution:
[(5 + 5 + 5 + 5) * 5 * 5] + [(5 + 5) * 5 ] + 5 = 555
[(10 + 10) * 25] + [10 * 5] + 5 = 555
[20 * 25] + 50 + 5 = 555
500 + 55 = 555

Math symbols used: + and * (addition and multiplication)

Solving Subarunyon's equation:

5 * {5 * 5 * 5 - [5 + 5 + 5 - (5 / 5)]}

5 * {125 - [15 - (1)]}
5 * {125 - 14}
5 * 111 = 555

Equation solved with the necessary parameters that sa1amandra specified.

I used 10 5's in my equation, Subarunyon used only 9.

5(5[5x5-5])+([5x5+5x5]+5)
5(5[25-5])+([5x5+5x5]+5)
5(5[20])+([5x5+5x5]+5)
5(100)+([5x5+5x5]+5)
500+([5x5+5x5]+5)
500+([25+25]+5)
500+(50+5)
500+55
