I don't want Yonemura anywhere NEAR Ultraman.

The only good thing about a crossover would be if Tsuburaya was in charge of the special effects.

You sure about that? I mean, Riders have defeated giant opponents before, although they don't seem to be Ultra level, I guess.

Giants in the Rider-verse have the power of size. That's the power. Ultra characters are generally cosmic-level with or without size. There'll even be moments such as Ultraseven 21, at human size, smashing through brick and steel doors with ease. Or when Tiga fought human-sized enemies, and one, not even fully focused, kick sent a Raybeak Seijin soaring. Right afterwards, Tiga flew through brick walls like it was nothing.
Or even to go classic, the original Ultraman rearranged an entire system of stars, and took a hydrogen bomb straight on with no apparent damage.

Even then, it's not like they can't just make the characters as strong as necessary.

No, I hate that. Toei is awful with that. Even Tsubuya's gotten bad with it.

But anyway, if they do try this as a "serious" project, unlike that Imagin anime short, it would probably become a painful mess.

It will be a painful mess just by Toei's movie track record. For every "A-Z," there's five "Movie War Cores."

Well to be honest I noticed something about Ultra's. While they are naturally giant they can shrink themselves. Because Ultra's are pretty virtuous they never try to smash enemies smaller than them into a fine paste. If there enemy is smaller than them they will shrink down to their size to fight one more even ground.

Also if there's a chance an Ultra can perserve the life of an oppenent they'll take that route first it only if they have no choice or their opponent has done something incredibly horrible do they attempt to destroy their enemy.

Or I could just be over thinking things who knows.

Either if this did happen I would cautiously optimistic.

I think the list of Ultras crossing over with Riders should be kept to the Ultras that have fought in human size before.

UltraSeven (and 21), Tiga, and Hikari.

It'd suit the story better anyways that way. Ultraman crossovers tend to be pretty smart when it comes to what characters to really focusing on, choosing to go with the smaller groups, rather than the big clusterfucks like the Rider crossovers.

With the way Tsubuya and Toei are with their characters? No thank you. Just as well, I think the video short is as good as it could ever get.
On that note, the Ultras fighting the Riders wouldn't work. Ultramen are WAY too powerful, and you would have to weaken them significantly to get a good fight. Think of it in comic terms: Silver Surfer vs. Spider-Man and a few Captain Marvels

Not me, I'm holding out for an official Ultraman X Godzilla crossover. Hopefully it can end with Godzilla not being sliced into millions of pieces.
