The Creator of Power Rangers

But I did hear that Saban wanted to go with Zyuranger because of the ideal that children would be more interested in dinosaur mecha than they would be the airplane mecha.

And don't forget the Jurassic Park phenomenon from 1993.

Even Steven Spielberg was extremely jealous that Power Rangers overshadowed his productions from that time!

I thought Saban wanted to originally adapt Bioman hense why footage of it was used in the pilot as "an inside joke". Then when that plan went south he attempted Jetman before settling on Zyuranger.

Going by an old article that interviewed the woman who worked at FOX Kids, Bioman was supposed to be dubbed uncut. Saban might've pitched the series from between 1985-1989 ,though there's no info at present time.

I tried reading that thread because it's damn long, but I'm still a tiny bit skeptical. Did he tell them anything there about behind the scenes stuff that nobody knew? Any contradictions? Any details about what's in the series bible? Maybe someone who took the time to read the whole entire thing could update me. :P

Jack didn't do any behind-the-scenes. After writing the bible, he was no longer involved with the project. If he had even helped with just the pilot episode, he would have by law been credited as one of the creators of the series.

He also says he wrote everything about the characters, at least the first five Rangers. Surnames, interests, everything.

You're not missing much in the thread. It's become more or less a discussion on his other long-term work than anything to do with PR.
