On Sunday we and some family went to the museum and we saw a show on Planets which lead me thinking why is the concept of Toku and Power Rangers only one Earth and are Galaxy and not others that are in this universe like Andromeda or different areas in the Milky Way since we have grown up on the concept of Earth and the same old Galaxy i personally think it's time for a change and not just for one season.

Well, all the Ultramen come from a different universe, same with certain Sentai, and I think there was a good chunk of episodes from Gavan set on different planets. Not to mention Ultra Galaxy, they never even stepped foot on earth during that series.

Lost galaxy was not on earth, or even our galaxy...

I don't think a floating Crystal Ball counts.

The point is: Lost Galaxy took place on a floating crystal ball, and not on Earth.

Only for one season which is what I'm trying to say...Why not try two seasons or three?

Because building exotic alien world sets are expensive for shows like these that try to keep the costs down. I would have loved to see Hibiki set in the waring states era like the movie was, but the sets and costumes would have driven the costs up so much. It's not practical.

I should also point out that there were a few Deka episodes that took place in an Alien Planet(Like, the first 10 seconds of the first episode, and two episodes of the SWAT Mode training arc I think)

Hypotheticly shows like Star Trek and Stargate SG-1/Atlantis are considered tokusatsu in japan. so to be completely honest i find this discussion useless.
