How do you feel about the remake's portrayal of Aerith's death. In the original we saw her back got stabbed by Sepiroth and the showed get's our of her belly. In the remake Sepiroth probably did the same but this time she is still impaled by a sword but the camera focuses on her face. We still have a heart breaking death scene but they didn't show stab wounds as they focus on her face as she says her goodbyes to Cloud as she dies.

This is her original death:

Modded death:

and remake death

Well, I gotta say, I'm torn. On one hand, focusing on Aerith's face during her death scene in the remake added an intense emotional depth. But on the other hand, omitting the direct blade hit left me feeling a bit disconnected. Like, I get they wanted to keep the rating lower, but it kind of takes away from the impact, you know? The original scene hit hard with that direct hit, and Sephiroth's smirk... unforgettable.

Man, I was totally anticipating Aerith's death scene in the remake, but when it finally came, I was left scratching my head. Like, what was with that one-hour boss fight afterward? It felt like a weird transition. I mean, sure, her death was sad, but it lacked that punch, that gut-wrenching moment from the original. It's like they were more focused on gameplay than emotional impact.

Bro, I gotta say, I was expecting to be hit with all the feels during Aerith's death scene in the remake, but it left me feeling kinda empty. Like, where was the emotional gut punch? Not showing the direct blade hit took away from the intensity of the moment. And don't even get me started on that long boss fight afterward. It's like they were trying too hard to be different instead of sticking to what worked.

You know, I understand why they might have toned down Aerith's death scene in the remake. Sure, it might not have had the same impact as the original, but think about it: by making the game more accessible to a wider audience, they're potentially reaching more players and making more money. It's a business decision at the end of the day. And let's be real, Final Fantasy is a big franchise, they've got investors to please. So yeah, while I get the disappointment, sometimes compromises have to be made for the greater good. Plus, censorship or not, the game still delivers an epic experience for fans new and old alike.

Well, you know, I've been pondering over Aerith's death scene in the remake, and I gotta say, I understand why they decided to censor it. Sure, it might have toned down the impact a bit, but at the end of the day, they had to consider the game's rating. By focusing on Aerith's face during her final moments instead of showing the direct blade hit, they were able to maintain a more accessible rating without sacrificing too much of the emotional weight. And let's be real, it's not like we didn't know what happened. Sometimes a little censorship is necessary to reach a broader audience without losing the essence of the story.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about Aerith's death scene in the remake. I've always been Team Tifa all the way, and seeing her alive and kicking in the game was all I needed. Aerith, with her whole prim and proper vibe, never really did it for me anyway. So, whether they censored her death or not, it doesn't change the fact that Tifa's the real MVP in my book. Plus, with all this multiverse stuff, who's to say what's really canon anymore? As long as Tifa's around, I'm good.

You know, I've been thinking a lot about Aerith's death scene in the remake, and one thing that really struck me was how they depicted it from Cloud's perspective. It's as if we're right there with him, sharing his perplexity and denial in real time. The way they depicted him filtering off the reality of what was going on made him appear to be the ultimate untrustworthy storyteller at the time. And, looking ahead to Part 3, where Tifa assists Cloud in sorting through his memories in the Lifestream, I'm excited to see how they revisit this moment with complete clarity. And Aerith's link to the Lifestream adds a fresh dimension to her character. It's as if she's become the crew's spiritual leader, especially Cloud, who has heightened senses. I'm quite interested to see how it all plays out in the next chapter. They've obviously set the stage for some significant revelations, and I'm confident that they'll pull it off. Can't wait to see where the tale goes next!

I haven't been this emotionally destroyed by a video game since... Since forever. I was holding out hope, you know? Maybe this time things would be different, and Aerith wouldn't have to die. However, when I saw the blood during the Jenova fight, I lost it. When she fights Sephiroth beside you, I think, "Maybe the whispers will save her this time." But then she lies there, and my heart sinks. When Cloud said, "Open your eyes," and she did, everyone started crying... I don't know how to comprehend all of this. It was the most intense emotional rollercoaster I've ever experienced, and I'm still trying to process it all.
