The best yaoi/yuri moments in toku

Just another fun idea I thought up.

Apparently, in Japan (and even in American toku adaptations) it's a lot of fun to throw in random homosexual subtext into Japanese children's programming. Rather than think of it as creepy, I prefer to take the lighter and whimsical side to things like it's supposed to be.

It's also a lot of fun to watch toku actors in other shows do this....like the "Hard Gay no sekai" moment with Wataru and Tsurugi's actors.:laugh: or that BL drama that Nago's actor was in. Of course, this thread is for the toku so let's see...

-Wataru's crossdressing in the movie
-That "moment" in Rescue Fire with Fire-4. (You know the one)
-Nago's bathtime with Wataru.
-Kivat and Tatsulot's spaghetti kiss. (why are all these examples from Kiva?)
-Kit and Len's secret fanwank romance.
-Hanto...just...just Hanto....

Anything else?

Um, I may know too much on the subject, but you aren't using "yaoi" properly :shakefist

Yaoi is first off normally used for animated things. Secondly, it doesn't just mean "gay" or "crossdressing", it is when two guys are imitimate in a sexual way (Crossdressing has NOTHING to do with being gay buddy, whole other category)

Also, you forgot two more Kiva examples (I don't consider them yaoi, but bad things can be implied depending on the fangirl)

1. Otoya and Wataru (ew, but people ARE into that kinda thing)

2. Jirou and Otoya

And I can't think of anymore (thankfully) nor have I seen any yuri moments. If anyone else has, then please comment I guess :laugh:

I think that Pink Flash/Yellow Flash and DekaPink/DekaYellow had a lot of potential as girl-on-girl couples, but maybe that's just me :sweat:

I know a few Decade viewers who think there was plenty of "subtext" between DiEnd and Kuuga, but I personally can't see it. I can definitely see some "moments" with Punch Hopper and Kick Hopper however

Hmmm...good point. Maybe I should have called it "The best homosexual subtext moments?"

Some more:

- Kiva again! When Taiga goes on about how lonely he is and begs Wataru to stay with him
- Go-onger - episode 25, when Blue, Black and Gold are in the cave and Black says Gold mustn't destroy the Gaiark or it will break Blue's heart. I think this was a terrible episode and showcases why Go-on Blue does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Super Sentai, but the scene totally made him sound like Black's girlfriend
- The recent Shinkenger episode with Green and Blue stuck together
- ShinkenRed and Green training under the moon in episode 3
- Spoiler for the end of KR Ryuki: [hide]Knight breaking down as Shinji dies[/hide]
- Armor Hero: I can't remember the episode number, but one of the early ones has Xin Nan being cornered outside the restaurant and the bad guy saying how pretty he is (and threatening to destroy his face)

And one for the girls: the Carranger episode where Yellow wears a swimsuit and Pink is jealous. This is supposedly Pink being worried about her weight, but it definitely looked like she was checking out Yellow's body too

er, more spoilers for Ryuki: [HIDE]Subtext-wise, the death of Raia stuck in my head much more than Shinji's. Do not know why, but I was obsessed with like Ren/Tezuka after that. *hangs head in shame*[/HIDE]
And I'm surprised no one has mentioned Kitaoka/Goro (Zolda and his bodyguard/servant/rent boy) from Ryuki. They were insanely... subtextual. :laugh:
